Gaëlle (the hostess) was absolutely the best. Unfortunately, it was our first night in France this year. She set our expectations were high, so far only one B&B located in Bordeaux comes close. The refuge de athena is a lovely place to stay, very comfortable and relaxed, with kitchen, playstation, netflix etc. Eric was a fantastic host and he and his partner made the group feel very welcome. He was incredibly informative and helped us find a local bike repair shop and also ordered us pizzas (our collective French being pretty weak). Would definitely stay again!
