A fantastic gite with delightful and quirky gardens with the bonus of a swimming pool. The huge outside area was especially good for relaxing, barbeques and dining. Because we were there in autumn we had the added advantage of being able to pick home grown produce. We loved the sense of nature all around us with cats, chickens and ducks. Our host Kathy was supportive, friendly and helpful.

We stopped over, but Le Chateau is perfect for a longer break. Beautiful location, very relaxing and peaceful. Excellent breakfast with home made cake, jams and pancakes. Very welcoming and accomodating hosts, (no problem to leave early on Sunday moring), who provided good restaurant adresses for dinner nearby. Thank you!

This is a wonderful and tranquil place, also fantastic to be there with kids as there is a huge outside area to play! The cute village of Chapaize has two amazing restaurants and a tiny but fine sunday market. Definitely a recommendation. A great place to explore by bike and taste excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of South Burgundy.
