Everything: the welcome, the site’s most beautiful nature and parc, the elegance of the building so reminiscent of Dordogne’s traditional architecture, the facilities ( rooms were big and well equipped, tastefully decorated, had excellent beddings, the Spa and other amenities such as on ground massage and pool area offered and provided tranquility and relaxing moments), the unforgettable breakfasts- delicious and convivial moments- and above all our host, Gael who was at our”petits soins” at all moments, providing advice on and access to the region’s very special sites, restaurants and activities..-hiking, museums, old village markets, archeological grottoes etc . Even though I had been to the region many times this was a unique two week experience

Location is fabulous, the views are lovely, and the little village of St Marcel is the prettiest I've seen for many years. It is also extremely well maintained by the residents who clearly have great pride in their surroundings. Peter and Nancy are extremely pleasant and helpful, and there was heaps of space for the dogs to run and enjoy themselves. The Manoir is located within relatively easy reach of Bergerac, Salat, and places of local interest. Although the buildings are old and rustic they are very well equipped. All in all, an experience we will revisit.

Caroline et Arnaud were exceptional hosts who welcomed us warmly. The following evening they came over with a bottle of wine and tons of valuable travel information so we could plan our week easily. The apartment is in a very quiet location and has a great heated pool which we used every day. From here it is easy to visit most locations in the Dordogne by car, a bakery and small shop is in the next village (St. Alvere, very pretty, 2km).A larger supermarket is in Lallende (13km). We had a great time and are definitely coming back!

Elisabeth is a generous host who has given attention to detail for a holiday home. A spacious rural retreat with all modern facilities. The swimming pool and air conditioning were excellent additions. Recommend Sainte Alvere 5km and LaLinde 12km for shopping and French Markets.
