It could accommodate seven of us reasonably comfortably. It is quiet. The photos give a true picture of it - nothing super attractive, but serviceable. Plenty of hot water. The couple who provided us with the keys (owners or caretakers?) were pleasant; they speak no English.

Lovely cottage with quiet surroundings. Mina and Thierry are great hosts, we were welcomed and shown the place. It is nicely decorated and you can see that much thought went into stocking and decorating it. We immediately felt like home and have really enjoyed our stay. 5 of us stayed at La Douce France for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is really spacious and you can see the effort that has gone into providing everything you could need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well kept and the pool, garden, bbq area mean you can spend full days there in the sun. The house was clean on arrival and off-street parking is provided. No shops nearby but only a 20min walk to Chinon which has plenty of restaurants and boulangeries, and cycle and canoe hire.

Beautiful historic old building, very quirky
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
This is an excellent place to stay; good location well furnished rooms and facilities. We will use again on our travels.
Owners very accommodating, friendly and do a superb breakfast, dog friendly and easy parking.
A lovely country retreat in converted old Mill buildings. Ample parking, dog friendly, wonderful grounds to walk in AND a swimming pool. The host laid on a wonderful breakfast, catered to our own preferences.
