Hellahuoneisto was very clean and well equipped. There was a lot of animals around the courtyard which was lovely. Coffee in the room was a nice touch.

We spend one night in a king suite. We really enoyed the jaccuzzi (especially at night with the lights on it’s amazing) and everything was clean. Once you are in the jaccuzzi the view is very relaxing since you only see the beautiful trees.

The location has everything you need to spend a few unforgettable days away from the urban hustle and bustle. The midnight sunset and the slightly later sunrise are fascinating and can be watched from the dock. The scenery is breathtaking and the lake is superb. Nature is wild and feels like it’s from another reality. Although the location is in a tourist village, you don’t feel it – the lake and its shores are very clean and I didn’t see a single piece of trash or plastic floating in the water.
I highly recommend taking a boat ride to the opposite shore; there are many small islands where you can easily dock. Fishing from the boat or the shore can offer memorable surprises. Keep in mind that the boat provided by the location does not have a motor, which you will need. We brought an electric one, but you can probably rent one from the hosts. The effort to reach this location was absolutely worth it.

The location was excellent for excursions to Linnansaari National Park. The room was comfortable and clean. EV charging was possible. Sauna and swimming (deep water) was available.

We appreciated the privacy, sauna and lake access. But to be honest, we stayed in nicer and more comfortable cottages during our 2 weeks in Finland. In was not bad but as it is a cottage build for business, not a family property, it is very impersonal. Called a "design" cottage (meaning that everything is white), we would appreciate less design and more of practicality. The spaces are not utilized very efficiently, e.g. there is actually no real bathroom. You can brush your teeth either in the kitchen or on the toilet. The shower is located in a huge empty hall between the sauna and a corridor to the toilet. Once someone takes the shower, the hall gets wet and you have either to cross it or to go to the toilet through the outside veranda. The upper floor also could be used much more efficiently (but we did not need it being only the 2 of us).
The lake view and the lake itself is nice but you can see and hear the cars from the road on the other side.
To sum up - it was OK but we will definitely remember other places, not this one.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
KURU resort is absolutely one of the most wonderful places I have ever been to! Beautiful view from the room, private sauna in the room, and the opportunity to use the outdoor sauna with direct access to the lake. Very good restaurant. Breakfasts delivered directly to the room. The car parking is separated from the area with the cottages, which I think is a great solution.
