The excellent clothes dryer keeps our snow clothes and boots warm and dry, and the very healing sauna room can purify our body and mind. There is a CD player to listen and Netflix to watch dramas. Absolutely beautiful place 25 minutes drive from Rovaniemi. Highly recommended! The large house is all by itself in a beautiful forest by the river. Communication with our hosts was easy and everything went super smoothly. We paid extra to have the host heat the wood-fired Finish sauna located in a separate building on the river. I'm happy we did; it was a very nice experience.

Staying at this aurora hut for two nights was a unique and memorable experience. Looking through glazings we had an unobstructed view of the sky and the frozen lake. The hut is self-contained, with many essential facilities and cooking utensils provided that’s convenient just like staying at home. It’s warm inside, and the beds were comfortable. Other than a chalet nearby, there’s basically no one else sharing the same lakeside area with us. We enjoyed the outdoor hot bath a lot. Once we got ourselves in the bath, it’s very warm even during snowfalls. The tall trees around the bath made us feel like we’re embraced by nature. We rented a car with winter tyres, so it’s not difficult to get to the hut from town.

Hands down the the nicest place ever. There is beautiful wooden sauna, indoor and outdoor hot tub, and you can barbecues while you soak in the hot water under the stars. Amazing views of frozen lake, where you can go ice swimming, we even tried to cut the ice hole ourselves, but it is more difficult than it looks like. Bunnies and and squirrels can be observed from windows when the sun goes down. Fire place and central heating, we were so cosy even during -26 degrees temperatures hit. Clean, modern, and the hosts were absolute stars, thank you Sanna and Timmo, this stay felt like living in the fairy tale for a few days
