Breakfast was typical but decent. Kudos to the attendant who managed to supply gluten free toast for one of our number! The checkin process was smooth, thanks to the friendly, bilingual desk staffer. Exceptionally quiet area - we were able to keep a window open for a great sleep. We frankly couldn't believe the value for money! We dined next door at el Cid and had a very nice meal, again with consideration for the dietary restrictions.

It's a beautiful property, in a beautiful place, managed by a very thoughtful owner. He pointed out restaurants nearby, helped when we needed, told us about the nature and animals of the region, and so on. The bedroom was huge, the bathroom had window ceilings where we could see the mountains and eagles, it was very nice! It's a very strategic location to get to know the region

Getting in was a palaver. No one there, had to phone & given complex instructions for keysafe & doors. Once inside the priory renovation was fascinating….. very modern & intriguing, although the steel stairs were noisy. Dora & husband were delightful, very friendly & delicious breakfast served. Trespederne is a sad town, a junction of many arterial roads & not much else. Frias nearby is a must see hilltop village though, as are the drives through mountains nearby.

This hotel has lovely gardens with some aviary birds, and a pond. It was very quiet when we were there, that suits us. The room was comfortable and clean. We had an excellent evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is lots of parking. We walked in to the town and then along the river which was great after a long motorcycle ride to get there. A very nice place altogether.
