Czech Republic
This was the perfect place to spend a few days in a completely calm environment. It served as a perfect "head quater" to do some beautiful hikes in the area. As we stayed during December the nights were getting a bit cold but lighting a fire in the fire place in the evening made the place even more cozy. We had to find out the hard way that it is not possible to drive up to the place by car all the way, and it is necessary to leave it a bit further below in the village and then walk the last bit. But that just added to the experience. :)

Everything! Michelle and David are amazing hosts, with labradoodle Eddie as an enthusiastic companion. The pool was great, proper temperature, clean and deep. There was enough privacy where it mattered, yet the hosts remained open and approachable whenever we felt like it. Tons of tiny, very much appreciated services - for example, Michelle baked my girlfriend dairy-free muffins after finding out her allergy prevented her from eating the first (complementary) batch, which did contain milk. The bed was very comfortable, and the studio itself was styled very well. Staying here was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Fermata to any traveller in the region.
