Historic building very well restored and maintained, staff were helpful, especially the bar lady who offered to prepare a light dinner even though the restaurant was closed on a Monday. There is free secure parking. The convent is centrally located a short walk from the main square where there are bars and restaurants. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room (which not many Spanish hotels seem to offer). Only 30 minutes from Bilbao, so easy access to ferry home.
Batzarki has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Avellaneda. Located around 27 km from Bilbao Exhibition Centre, the hotel with free WiFi is also 28 km away from San Mamés Metro Station....

Beautiful tranquil location about 30 mins. from Bilbao. Wonderful scenery and walking trails. The restaurant has a very extensive menu and good wine list. Friendly staff who do not speak English (but why should they!)

This is a magical place, you feel like you're away from everything while you're only a 20 mins drive from the beach and 30 minutes drive from Bilbao centre. Friendly, warm owners, HUGE family room, organic garden, farm animals and delicious breakfast with homemade cake. We were sad to leave.

Hosts are amazingly nice and sweet. Room was definitely bigger than stated on Booking - or the bathroom was not included, as it was very spacious.

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The age of the building, the room could really be imagined as a nun's cell, grates on windows, very atmospheric. Comfortable bed. Large spacious room. Secure gated parking for motorbikes, although outside and bikes are visible from street. You are given a code to open gate when you leave.
