The Rittergut is an amazing manor house bringing together old and new in a beautiful way. The owners have done an incredible job to recreate the place and if you look at the photos of reconstruction you know how much love they've put into the whole estate. The breakfast was great too ... no problem getting gluten-free food and some of the jams were self-made. I would certainly recommend staying there.

Beautiful room, it looks like newly renovated. Comfortable bed. Towels smell nice and not like harsh cleaning products. Friendly staff. One of the best breakfast I've had in Germany with good variety, a lot of what is offered is sourced locally, so there are a lot of homemade options, like jam, honey, yogurt... there was even fesh and quality fruits available!

A secluded, tasteful cottage in a small, traditional village. Picturesque and SO peaceful, without being deserted. Wonderful walks and woods nearby. Less than 30 mins to Weimar by train from Stadtroda, 20 mins drive from the house. Charming and helpful hosts live nearby and are happy to speak slowly to allow foreign guests to practise their German. Vielen Dank!
