The host was very welcoming. It was very clean. You should know that the village was destroyed by floods last year. But it's still nice to stay over at this lovely accommodation.

We spent some time in the Ahr Valley to walk the vines, visit wineries and taste the local Pinot Noir. The Ahr is still recovering from the devastating floods of 2021. Haus Appel was no different as it was hit hard. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect for accessing the walking trails through the vines and to visit wineries. There still isn't a lot of additional services running (plus it was down season). But the rooms were clean and very, very affordable. The Ahr wine is incredible, and the area deserves the support of all wine loving tourists while they rebuild!
