Pension Sommer cottages are very cozzie, even quipped with sauna if you visit it in winter, they have all what you need for a pleasant countryside stay. Furthermore, the host Mr Lothar Sommer is an ornithologist, we have in common the love for birds. And someone who is devoted to the care of birds can only be a good person and a gentleman. If you live in a town and have children who do not have much contact with nature, then Pension Sommer has that something extra, your children will be amazed to be in close contact with exotic birds. To sum up, if what you want is a peace&quiet countryside stay, then Pension Sommer comes as highly recommended.

We enjoied the free sauna, available for hotel guests, from 15:00 to 21:00. Best to reserve the timeslot that you would prefer, to avoid to share with another large group of guests. We also appreciated dinner, served at the buffet. You need to be there before 20:00, as the kitchen is otherwise closed. Cost for dinner is less than 20 euro per person, while buffet breakfast, also tasty and abundant, is less than 13 euro per person. Parking the car costs 2 euro per night. The personnel, both at the reception and at the restaurant, was very kind and spoke good English. Very clean room and comfortable beds

This is the nicest little hotel. Most of the rooms are above the Eiscafé where they serve their fabulous homemade ice cream concoctions, their original distilled whisky, and their own microbrewery beers. The eiscafé is open for hours that should never disturb anyone's sleep, and the area is so tranquil. Staff are lovely, and the village is moderate size (approx. 11k) with several local restaurants, cafés, and shops in walking distance.
