Over all, we loved everything about this hotel. Staff were absolutely lovely, and all the facilities were fantastic. A lot of attention to detail in rooms and property. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, with a clever use of ingredients and very different from many places we have stayed. The property itself is very beautiful, and set up well for guests to feel private and peaceful. It rained real hard during our week-long stay due to a tropical event, so we felt very lucky with our choice of hotel, as we were so comfortable, and well looked after. I highly recommend a massage here too

The setting at this property is spectacular! If you are looking for a place that is quiet with beautiful scenery over looking the ocean. Look no further. My recommendation to the manager is to have drone video footage of the property so quests could see the layout of the casita's, pool area and grounds.

Very pretty big house with a great kitchen and pretty garden around with fresh fruit. The rooms are nice and clean, though there are a lot of ants and other insects due to the forest around. The host ist very nice and always available for any issues. Only slightly negative thing is the location, as it is quite far from the small city. It’s 30 min by foot down to the beach/Montezuma or a 6000 colones taxi ride up/down. The host does however offer to drive you up/down one time a day.

The owners are fantastic hosts and took very good care of us. The property is clean, and had every thing we needed including laundry, a hammock overlooking a river, pool access and netflix. Its up hill from town so a car or a quick cab ride from the city center is best.

Nice little paradise, great restaurants and we enjoyed the white faced monkeys in the trees whilst swimming in the pool. Short walk to the beach as well.

Casa Susen is a slice of heaven, we had a wonderful time staying here for three nights. The room was fully equipped with a kitchen, fridge, fans and wifi. The terrace area was lovely to sit out on and watch the thunder and lightning storm and we enjoyed the peace of the surrounding area. It’s a perfect location with a beach across the road and plenty of bars and supermarkets less than a five minute walk away. The room was cleaned on the second day and the lady was lovely from the start to the end of our stay. Secure parking too.
The host, Gabriel was very friendly and helpful! He was one of the best hosts we have met in our travels. At one point, Gabriel set us up with someone helping put air in our tires (one was low). The 2 pools were also nice. The hotel is not far from walking distance to everything. There is even a small parking lot for the hotel, if you can't find street parking. It doesn't have many spaces, but it's better than nothing, which is the situation for most hotels in town in Montezuma.
The staff was ready for us despite a last-minute booking. they graciously spoke English to us, which was very welcome after a particularly long day traveling. The air conditioner worked wonderfully. The bed and pillows were unexpectedly comfortable and good quality. The attached bath was adequate and had hot water. There was dedicated parking for the hotel, which was helpful as parking is at a premium in Montezuma.
Right on the beach. Next or near excellent restaurants. Supermarket next door. Parking on premises. Gates to room closed at night for added security. Hotel rooms are older but very clean. Refrigerator and coffee pot in the room. Sounds of the ocean were amazing and helped block town night life activities.
the hotel is located in the center of Montezuma and is divided into several houses. We had a room on the 1st floor with balcony and hammock with a beautiful view of the sea. There is actually no breakfast, but you can get coffee, water and fruit at the reception. The beach is only 300m away. Parking right in front of the door. Very nice stuff.

View was beautiful, breakfast was exceptional, bed was comfortable and Brian the host was really helpful and super nice. We saw white faced monkeys, agoutis, coatis and mot mots from the hotel grounds- AMAZING! The walk over the suspension bridge made the walk to town and beach easy, a troop of monkeys even came across the bridge in the morning. The walk to the waterfall is also from the parking lot of the hotel and free for guests.
Nice secluded location with charming garden though close enough to Montezuma town to get there in minutes. Great outdoor pool and balcony with hummock to relax. Good breakfasts with a choice of toast, pancakes, fried eggs, omelette and fruit. Convenient free parking onsite.
