YES, you must go there. Great place with lots of activities. Travis took us out in the nice old life boat 'Nicoya Queen'. Went to the prisoner island and Travis made the best lobster we've ever had. Thanks :) The breakfast is excellent. Nice traditional Tico breakfast or best: Travis' special egg benedict! Not to forget: You can also borrow canoes and go on a trip yourself. We picked this hotel for their sustainable credentials and we could see once there that they tried their best to follow a much more sustainable approach. The location is just unique and the views are stunning. We gad tent 14 and it was everything and more we could ask for. The room was really comfortable and the monkeys, lizards and racoons kept us entertained! I highly recommend the spa. The massage was great with views to go with it.

The explanations by Thomas at the beginning were inspiring. The details of his luxury and very clean and secure resort were outstanding. We experienced more wildlife (animals) in his resort than in the guided tours around the country. We stayed 5 days and were pleased to go back to this oasis every evening.

There were three of us who stayed in the three bedroom villa, next to the forest frequented by howler monkeys. The interior is rustic, just as we wanted. We provided our own meals without any problems. The owner Brigit was super helpful, and in addition toi explaining details of how to get around by car for shopping, retaurants etc, she provided the essential help for us to get to the right place to commence our salt water fishing session. This required WhatsApp calls and messaging, which she offered to initiate, rather than us asking.

A perfect night stay in Paquera with a big comfy bed, basic yet well equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. The host was very friendly, and even gifted up a few small stickers and a fridge magnet which was so unexpected and lovely. The TV is HUGE (I wish we had time to watch a movie on it) and the wifi worked perfectly for us. Highly recommend.
