Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

Good location in the town, and access to the brother hotel near the La Fortuna Volcano was a huge positive. Nice place to stay for the price we paid. We did get a significant discount though. Breakfast was good too and staff super friendly and helpful.

The rooms at Hotel El Secreto in La Fortuna are located in the middle of a beautiful garden and - when the weather is nice - you have a direct view of the El Arenal volcano. Our room was very spacious, clean and well equipped. As it rained quite a bit, the air conditioning was very useful, otherwise our clothes would never have dried. The pool and sun loungers were perfect for relaxing after an excursion. For breakfast you could choose between three options, which were good and sufficient. During breakfast you could watch the birds in the garden.The center is within 5 minutes walking distance. A sloth can often be found in the tree next to the entrance, which is of course very exciting.

The perfect place to explore the Arenal region. Leonardo and his family do everything necessary to enable you a wonderful stay, giving the best and individual recommendations possible.
They own a great little wood area next to the river taking you for night walks on site - we saw beautiful wildlife, especially frogs. Furthermore the breakfast area is very charming and the food authentic and really tasty. Cooked fresh right in front of you. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and super clean with super relaxing beds and the pool area is nice to spend some time after a day out. They also offer laundry service - which could be great help when getting soaked in a rain shower out at Arenal :)

The location was perfect. Amazing views of the Arenal volcano. The hotel is at the edge of town. You feel like you’re completely in nature but can walk to many restaurants and shops in 10 min or less. The pool was great, our kids swam in it daily. Breakfast was also super in a lovely open air dining room.

Great location! Gorgeous room and (would’ve been, if it was clear) an excellent view of the volcano! Staff were super helpful and friendly and the breakfast was a great addition.
