The host was extremely welcoming. The apartment, although basic was comfortable and cleaned daily. The beds were comfortable and also made daily. It is at the top of an unmade road which may be problematic for those with limited mobility but the plus side of that is quiet with very little traffic noise

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Buenavista. We had plenty of street parking for our two motorcycles. The room and hostel were clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast room is sunny with an amazing view over Punta Arenas and Strait of Magellan.

Decent breakfast of fresh bread, cheese, ham, jam, orange juice and serials was provided.
Washing machine was useful.
