We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Solcar. The place is nicely decorated and has a swimming pool by which you can chill during hot days, a true oasis in San Pedro de Atacama.

I was travelling alone and the staff were friendly and helpful. A free wine tasting each night meant that there were always company. The place is a longstanding place that is so central—other hotels are much further out of town.

Great hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. If you are driving, it is a great place to stay (just a few minutes from the center of San Pedro and away from the crowds and noise). But if you don't plan on renting a car, I think a hotel closer to the center might be a better option, although there are taxis there (we didn't use them).
Simple but very good breakfast and comfortable facilities.
A great and comfortable place to stay and relax after walking all day in the magnificent desert landscapes.
