This was a rather spontaneous road trip for us, so we only book the accommodation few hours before check-in. Appreciate the smooth check-in even with short notice.
The location was great- close to highway, and next to vineyard.

Owner was amazing, he was super friendly and gave us heaps of tips of what to do. They do have their own private ‘beach’ to go for a swim in the channel. Coffee machine in room with capsules and breakfast or Croissant delivery to door in the morning.

The breakfast was very delicious with an array of choices. It was all very fresh. The dining area had a beautiful view of the lake. All very satisfying.

It was everything we expected, based on the Booking.com description, and maybe even a bit better. :)
The cleanliness was exemplary! I really am quite exacting concerning hygiene — and this place was literally spotless!
The whole place smelt of fresh laundry when we walked in — it really doesn’t get any better than that!
The water temperature and pressure in the shower are great!
Since both my husband & I have long, luxurious hair, this is a crucial point for us. Many holidays have been ruined, alas, because of bad (cold, weak) showers — but not at the ‘Ofenhaus’!
Everything works to perfection!
The location is really quiet & calm, but the beautiful medieval town of Murten can be reached on foot (via a short walk of 1km).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely book the ‘Ofenhaus’ again if we happened to stay in the area in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lucky Duck. Very friendly host Helen. nice garden and really close to the lake for a swim. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much with local products. We'll come back :-)
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Lovely warm welcome! Great meal, fantastic breakfast and beautiful setting. Lady in charge was lovely and very friendly. Rooms were very clean and easy to access from lower car park.
Everything about the Hotel was excellent. The location was stunning, great parking, well equipped and comfortable room with stunning views. Both the evening meal and breakfast taken outside on a terrace overlooking the lake and alps in the background, were excellent . The staff were excellent too with attentive hosts and Olga the breakfast waitress is an asset, welcomong, friendly, attentive and excellent at her job.
About our party, single dad travelling with one kid under 12. The room was very clean and fresh, equipped with fridge, dishes and cutlery so you can have your breakfast outside. Fresh towels and clean dishes/cutlery offered every day. Free parking for our car available in front of the yard.
The host was extremely accommodating and flexible to our needs.
We had a fantastic time visiting around places like Bern, Freiburg, Lausanne.
