The Alert Bay Lodge was charming, comfortable and hospitable. Very unique setting, with a warm welcome from the hosts. Good location, easy walk into "town". The community is great, lots to see and do. Fascinating history. Marvelous must-see: the U'mista Cultural Centre. Whales, dolphins and otters passing by the front of the Lodge every day!

Very quite setting with ocean views. Small deck and cozy gas fireplace gave this cottage a warm and appealing vibe. The shower was amazing!

Beautiful restored heritage building, fantastic view from the dining area, very likable managers, amble parking. The food at the pub across the street was excellent.
The Seine Boat Inn is incredible. Built over water, you can hear the tide ebb and flow underneath. A short walk from the ferry terminal, plenty of parking for those who have a car. You do need to check the ferry timetable. We had the best nights sleep since we have been in Canada. Convenience and pharmacy store near by.
