It was a lovely annex to the owners home with a jacuzzi and sauna for us to use as part of the accomodation. The room was very stylish and tastefully decorated. The bed was large and comfortable. However sleep was poor because of ambient light even with an eye mask and had to leave doors open to get air circulation otherwise needed to use air conditioning.Breakfast was disappointing. The hosts were cheerful and very accommodating and we liked their little dog and massive well kept garden.

The host was very friendly and gave us some good tips for sightseeing and how to make use of all faculties of the villa. The villa was brand new and very luxurious. We really liked the outside area, enough space to sit and drink/BBQ. The bathroom was exceptional, the sleeping rooms have some good beds and could be blinded so it was really dark when sleeping. The villa is a good spot when you like to visit the close-by cities like Gent and Lokeren as a group/family and don't want to sleep in a busy area/hotel but also want to enjoy the benefits of a spacious villa with a nice garden.

We used the accommodation for an overnight stay for on our way home from England. The welcome was pleasant, although there was a language problem at first. The host's mother spoke only French in addition to her mother tongue, while we spoke only English and German (or Czech) . Finally everything was fine. The room warmed up quickly, the bed was soft, the bathroom had a bath as well. The breakfast was delicious and the language wall was also over. We can only recommend it.

Exceptional quality and comfort with a beautiful garden and luxurious features; we didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but the sauna was great. The breakfast provided is plentiful and delicious, and Inge is the most thoughtful host - for example, on arrival we’d joked about the tea selection not having any ‘proper’ tea, only to find English breakfast teabags on the table, the next day. The property is in a quiet location, well placed for exploring Belgium.

We stayed here as a stop off on the way back to Calais so it was really helpful to have free parking. The hotel looked even nicer than in the photos. It was easy to get into Gent on the tram without worrying or registering for the congestion charge. It was also very dog friendly. We were in a room by the back door so could take her out easily and she was allowed at breakfast and in the bar.

I needed a place between Brussels and Bruges and this one had a good price with breakfast incl for 3 ppl. This hotel is also 15 min away from Ghent so we could take advantage to visit it.

The hotel is located in very quiet town. The surrounding are beautiful and the hotel facilities are perfect. Fully recommended to stay with your couple, also with family. Hotel Otus was easy to access outside of Ghent from a rental car on the major highways. Parking on site made things easy. The hotel was close by to the locations that I wanted to visit, Delirium and Heiling Hart Brewery. That’s why I chose to stay here. The price was also much better than if you stayed closer to the city and breakfast was included.
