We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Pupa Winery. The room was beautiful and we happened to get a room with balcony (the twin beds room) and a lovely view of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The tour of the vineyards and learning about the various grapes, olives and fruit trees was very special. You could feel the pride the owners take in their heritage and in all they do. The wine tasting after the vineyard tour was fun too. Dinner was the best we've had in Albania -- so many delectable treats! What makes Pupa Winery amazing is the warm and caring family. Breakfast was also great (bread, egg, jams, juices, vegetables, cheese, coffee) -- another feast! Highly recommend staying her on your visit to Berat -- it is outside of town, but just a few minutes drive and so worth it. The wine is so good, you'll want to buy a few bottles to take with you when you leave. We did!
