Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a shared lounge and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi. Private parking is available on site. For western tourists wanting to experience Japanese hospitality with Western levels of comfort (unlike Ryokan where there's typically no beds or private bathrooms) this hotel is exactly what you need and it's the best experience we could've hoped for in Matsumoto The hotel feels very Japanese. It has bamboo flooring (you take off your shoes at the entrance) both in hallways and rooms, it features a lush onsen, there is freely available ramen, there's a comic corner, etc The rooms on the other hand feature western beds and private bathrooms and (although small) were larger than what we were used to in Tokyo. The hotel and rooms are very clean and feel recently renovated. Staff is very welcoming and goes the extra mile.

The most exceptional service I've ever seen (and I've traveled 40 countries so I know what I am talking about)! The place is a bit out-dated but it has its own charm and the quality of service and attention is simply next level! Great view from the room, food quality is amazing and meals are very big and diverse! They offer transfer to/from train station as well as drive where you need in the morning when you go sightseeing, which is highly appreciated! Onsen area is small but has a nice view (women's section) and you get to wear a beautiful yukata they prepare you in the room. Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

This Hotel is located just near to Yagizaki Park, which is a great spot for photos of Mt Fuji, strongly recommend. Oh and did I mention the Hot Springs in the Hotel is really awesome, they have indoor and outdoor Onsen/Hot Springs.
Beautiful boutique-feeling ryokan with really wonderful staff. We celebrated two birthdays and I was able to coordinate the delicious cakes over email. They even helped us take a photo and printed it out so we all had a little souvenir <3 So thoughtful! The rooms and building were lovely, as was the outdoor onsen. We did the private onsen experience too which was a little extra, but worth it especially to spend time with a partner. Food was tasty and yukatas were very pretty. Felt like a little dream.
The ryokan is very clean and orderly. Mother and daughter run the place. They have great customer service. I also spent ¥6K for their dinner, and comparable to the few nearby restaurants. Especially nearby small restaurants need to be pre-booked. Location is great few blocks from the train station to Nagano City. Also few bus routes that take you to Snow Money Park and skiing areas. I was able to schedule a 30 minute slot for my private use of the outdoor onsen. I enjoyed my 2 night stay there.
The main feature of this stay for me was the hot springs. Being able to sit in the onsen with a view of the mountains was truly unique. The private sauna was also very nice. This ryokan is a fantastic place to get away from modern life for a few days and relax. The food is also very high quality, although the nature of some of the more traditional dishes takes some adjusting of the palette.
The room was great. Had everything we needed to stay warm and cosy. Loved the traditional feel of the room and ryokan. The 2 private onsens were great, good self-booking system for these. The underground passage to the standing bar was unique and quirky. Parts of the building are historic but was also very clean. Toiletries provided; and slippers, yukata and geta wooden shoes available to borrow. The village itself, Shibu Onsen, was brilliant with the 9 public bath houses, and forest walk to the snow monkey bathing pool.
1. Hot Spring is excellent. With outdoor hotspring is an unexpected bonus. It also give u extra happiness to provide you free ice-cream, and refreshment of a hot soup noddle (also free of charge). 2. The massage service is very good, in good price. 3. Extremely comfortable bed. 4. Very clean room and all facilities. 5. Warm and polite staffs. 6.Good location of 3 min walk to JR station/ bus station. 7. Good security. 8. Hotel Guests are goid as well.
The hot springs were amazing! You can even get two private onsen for free
Excellent breakfast with a view to Mt. Fuji 🤗 Excellent kaiseki dinner impressed so much! Onsen hot spring bathing facilities very good! Room size is excellent with a resting corner and with a view to Mt. Fuji. Yukata was so nice to wear.
This is not a Ryokan in the true sense but it gets close. The room is big with its own small onsen/bathtub. It's very clean and comfortable. The outdoor onsen is nice. The indoor ones we didn't try (we only stayed one night). The beds are real mattresses. Breakfast is generous and in Kaiseki-style. We didn't book dinner at the hotel. Would recommend.
