The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.
The room was very clean, location is very near the Kintetsu-Yokkaichi Station, so very near the easiest way to travel in Japan, the train, and also very near a good variety of restaurants and shopping. The train is an easy method of travel to see most sights in Mie.
It was a nice guest house with local atmosphere and hospitality. Sometimes "local" or "traditional" means just old and dirty, but this guest house was very clean and comfortable to stay.
