We were upgraded to a room with a private onsen. The place was clean, staff members were kind, helpful, and very hospitable. Although communication was challenging they tried very hard to answer every question we had, which were many (highly appreciate the guy attending to dinner!)
We loved the complimentary roasted green tea and wanted to buy some for souvenir but they didnt sell it. Instead they gave us 5 sachets as souvenir, much appreciated!
Would come back if we have a chance.8

It’s my first time staying in a hot spring hotel, and it’s also my partner’s first time experiencing a hot spring bath. Everything is perfect—the room, the view, the food, and the staffs are very friendly. We regretted only staying for one night; we tried to extend for one more night, but they were fully booked. Definitely will go there again next year.

Lovely old fashioned Ryokan. Traditional style rooms and public areas. The staff were great and went out of their way to communicate in English, but also respected our Japanese speaking son.
The onsens were an unusual and interesting experience.
The dinner and breakfast were the highlights of our stay. The food was superb and presented in a stunning way, including a personalised menu card.

It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Dinner was a truly cool experience, featuring exquisite Japanese cuisine that was both authentic and delicious. The onsen was also exceptional, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The overall vibe of the hotel was inviting and warm, making it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended!
Winter closure of the open-air baths "Shirakaba-no-yu" (Late December - 28 February) Due to the accumulation of snow, the open-air bath will be closed during the winter.
Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.
Excellent Dinner and Breakfast. All inclusive drinks. Private Onsen/Hot spring was amazing. Staff were very accommodating and the Cherry blossom in full bloom along the nearby river was a huge bonus. Excellent artworks throughout the property

The ryokan is really traditionnal and super cool to sleep and have lunch in. The classic tatami rooms and onsens are a must ! It's a delight after a quite hike in the park to chill around in the facilities. There's even an onsen on the roof that we did not try because we checked in too late so we didn't get the info haha
Great surprise was also the adaptability to vegan travelers : they made us a fully vegan breakfast that was super good and filling so thanks for that !
Absolutely everything! The staff were so nice. We were the only non-native people and the staff went out of their way to speak English if they could. The Cherry Beer was amazing. All you can drink beer, tea and coffee. Also lots of snacks available during the day. The private onsen was magical.
Beautiful hot springs, both private and ‘public’ for hotel guests only, excellent food and service, and many different locations and experiences to enjoy. We don’t usually book all-inclusives, but really, everything included here was so nice and the dinners in particular were very good quality. Highly recommended, especially if you’ll also enjoy the shogi-themed city of Tendo.
Onsen (outdoors is best I think, you over look the waterfall and in our case falling snow).
Ryokan style / tatami sleeping arrangements.
Generous sized room.
