It was quiet and comfortable. There was a wooden bathtub in the room, where I enjoyed a hot spring bath. The breakfast was delicious.
In addition, there was a CD player and a few CDs in the room, which went very well with the tranquil evening atmosphere.
I would definitely stay here again.

It is a beautiful Besso! Traditional meets modern. Peaceful, artistic, it gets more beautiful in the evening when all the lights are on. They have a library inside the compound. We stayed in the Sasa room which was spacious and very tastefully decorated and we have our own rotenburo. I would appreciate if they provide a full length mirror in the bathroom or the foyer.
The food at the restaurant was delightful and reasonably priced, my favourite was the Saga beef Hayashi rice and Saga beef curry rice. So tender, they melt in the mouth. The KAISEKI dinner and the sake pairing were awesome.
Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it a lot, the only thing I would change is the breakfast menu -which is the same everyday- maybe it needs a bit more variety.
The Sabai Sabai Spa was reasonably priced and they have skilled therapists.
Every single one of the staff is nice and very helpful. Thank you! We hope to come back one day.

This is a large Onsen hotel but still feels warm with its lovely facilities and warm staff. The Onsen area is clean and nice and water quality is good, dining hall is nicely designed, we stayed in a western room, love the room size. Overall a great way to start our first night in Kyushu! PS we walked around the Onsen town after dinner and covered quite interesting sights!
Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.
The whole hotel well loved and maintained by the staffs. The room is large, with many comfortable facilities. The tatami smell is nice. The public bath house is great too. And I love the coffee lounge and the lobby antique display.
As the hotel is at the Takeo onsen area, nearby there are many cute shops that has good food and cute things to sell.
Everything is good. The host arrange well for our arrival and already prepared some snack and tea.
It's an entire apartment which is very clean and spacious. There is an information booklet which shows some attractions around.
The famous TAKEO onsen is in 2 minutes walking distance.
The town is very peaceful and perfect for vacation.
Japanese style accommodation in a thousand year hot spring. What more is you can live in an environment in hundred years ago when you can touch and play the phonograph aged over hundred years.
