The breakfast was excellent! I think it was a very traditional Japanese breakfast. The location was good. There is a 7-11 across the street and a few local restaurants nearby. It’s within walking distance (about 15 minutes) to Yubatake. AC was good even in the hot summer we were experiencing during our stay.

Just a 3-minute walk from the famous Yubatake Hot Spring, Kane Midori offers massage services and its own hot-spring baths. The Japanese rooms have futon beds and a Western bathroom.

It was exciting to be able to choose your own yukata to wear. The breakfast was amazing. The internal elevator to the baths was handy as you don't have to travel through a lobby/large public space. Had a great time in Kusatsu thanks to Kanemidori.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They speak fluent Chinese (I think the owner might be Chinese) Parking onsite and rooms were very large. Recommended some good site seeing options Breakfast service was very good. When we stayed I think we were the only ones on some of the days so got table service rather than the buffet. The view from the window was really good. It is really cheap :D I didn't use the onsen but my partner did and he really enjoyed it. Said it was clean and well maintained.

We’ve stayed at many ryokan since living in Japan for two years and this was one of our favorites! It’s a pretty property run by the 15th generation owner. We had a very large room and a private dining room but the ryokan was not very large, so it didn’t feel crowded. The meals are beautiful and healthier than other ryokan as they serve The freshest vegetables from nearby farms and cook it in a “modern furnace”. They also include all you can drink sake, beer and wine with dinner! The onsen were also wonderful.

This hotel is amazing. The food is delicious, I was really surprised by the dinner and the breakfast. For dinner, we had Sukiyaki and the meat was excellent. I couldn't try the new open onsen because it wasn't finished yet but I'm sure it will only increase the appeal of this hotel when it's finished.

It's next to a golf course but had a relaxed vibe. The room was very comfortable and I liked the view. The onsen was great, particularly the aerated bath and the rotemburo with views of Mt Asama. Breakfast was a buffet, which I prefer as I have dietary restrictions.
