Beautiful & clean. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed the traditional room, meals & onsen. Be hungry when you go - both the dinner and breakfast had too much food for me. I ate as much as I could. I wish I could have asked for a ‘small’ version of the meals beforehand. I was still full from dinner when we went for breakfast.

Accommodation in this city was limited, but Danrokan ticked the boxes for us. A fairly short walk from Kofu Station, we were met by friendly and welcoming staff. The room was very spacious with plenty of charm. Regardless of age, room was clean and tidy and we loved our stay here.

Room: Huge for a couple. Private onsen is always flowing, very calming, enjoyed the mini waterfall. Breakfast: Plenty of food, but limited halal options. Default to bread, rice, salmon, mackerel, egg, the usual. Dine at your discretion. Dinner: Took the half board kaiseki course. Arranged in advance, was served seafood delicacies like lobsters, abalone. Chefs cooked some right at the table. Excellent!
