Hiro, the amazing host met us at the property but we did already have the access code. The home is stunning and in a very private and peaceful location - you must have a car! I would not hesitate to recommend to others - the general area around the home has a lot to see and do within 100 km and it is a dream.

Nice cottage, even if a bit "old fashioned" furnitures.
A lot of space inside, many monkeys in the wood.

Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.

A beatiful ryokan in a beautiful place. A river flows near by and you can hear the water running down stream. This is so relaxing. The house was Japanese clean, that is very clean. The house is equipped with anything that is needed. A marvelous sound system is placed in the dining area. There is a natural water onsen in the bathing room. Hiro, the host, was very nice.
Very nice host, beautiful ryokan, exquisite food and luxurious onsen. The host cared to our needs, including making vegetarian food for my wife. I love this place. Thank you !
BBQ, indoor onsen tub, self contained, well equipped kitchen and utensils, the knife is very sharp and of good quality! We especially love the singing oven!
Quiet ambience with a lively view of the mountains from the driveway. Probably would have a magnificent view of the night sky but it was full moon when we stayed.
Kitchen is well equipped to indulge in the natural bounties of Japan.
Also comes with its own onsen so you can avoid the crowd (and the extra fee) at the main hotel.
A totally unique experience from the usual ryokans.
