The front desk was open at all times and the staff were all friendly and helpful all of the time. Breakfast was excellent and they constantly refreshed the food items as they were used up. They also provided cartons and paper bags for takeout. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with well kept grounds. It all ran like a well oiled machine. The pool was lovely after a day’s hiking and there were plenty of places to sit in the sun or under the trees to have a drink and a meal if you wanted to stay on the property. Of the five places we stayed during our trip through New England this was the clear winner.

Location of the motel is unbeatable, park your car for free in the yard and then you can walk to everywhere in the town!! If we are coming back to Bar Harbor, this motel will be on our top list!!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Equipment such as walking sticks, binoculars, etc. were loaned out for free, breakfast had a great selection to choose from, the Bar Harbor Motel is close to downtown Bar Harbor.
This motel was fantastic. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was great, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The grounds person was always busy. The outdoor pool was very clean. There is a barbeque area onsite. A continental breakfast was offered. You are given a menu list to pick from which we thought was very good. No too far away from amenities. Great stay and priced reasonable. Thx.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. When my travel plans changed unexpectedly and I had to leave earlier than my friend, the motel was very accommodating in allowing her to have a later checkout time.
The staff was wonderful--friendly and professional. The rooms were great, and the beds very comfortable. We were very impressed by the variety and quality of food at the free breakfast--the best free breakfast we've had in quite a while! The pool was lovely, and we wish we'd been able to stay longer to take advantage of the YMCA deal. We highly recommend this motel. :)
Really superb motel in the center of Bar Harbor. The room was big and clean, comfortable bed. Breakfast- for us and our preferences, actually one of the best on our roadtrip. Great to have access to microwave and coffee. Location-perfect for whatever your plans are in Acadia NP.
This motel is in a great location, in the centre of all the restaurants and retail premises. I think it has had some recent refurbishment as the bathroom was spotless, the linens and furniture fresh and the bed linen good too.

What a GREAT hotel! It's Retro by Nature. The rooms were clean and adorable. Very quiet. Breakfast has a lot of choices - cheese, salami, croissants, muffins, eggs, yogurt, pancakes, juices, tea, coffee, etc. Plus, the hotel offers free loaners of walking sticks, soft-sided coolers, beach chairs, binoculars, games, and more. I highly recommend Bar Harbor Motel! I'll be back!
I was quite surprised with the room, it was larger than most motor lodges we have stayed at. They had modern conveniences such as a refrigerator, microwave, large screen T.V. and modern one cup coffee maker. The room was very clean and was kept clean by the motels cleaning stay that clean the room everyday. The Motor Lodge was close to everything we wanted to see on the island and Bar Harbor.
