We were given a free upgrade to an access room on the ground floor. Huge rooms and very well appointed. Bathroom had spa bath. Kitchen had everything and a full sized fridge. Beds were super comfy and I even liked the pillows :) Great location for walking along the river or up to the "Centre of NZ" as well as several other walks. 5 minutes to Countdown. Didn't actually walk into the city centre, but I know it was close as was the Suter Gallery and Queens Gardens. Fabulous hotel, great location.

Spacious with everything that was needed. Nicest motel that I have ever stayed in. ( Did get an upgrade to the " Presidential Suite'.
Good motel, helpful staff, good location, great spa bath
Lovely wee motel, easy walking distance to town for shops, restaurants, cafes etc. very short walk to fresh choice supermarket. Right on the river and lovely walk to the gardens and Centre of NZ monument. Spacious room with living area and seperate bedroom.
Room was fantastic, clean comfy! had everything that we needed, staff were very friendly, saying "Hello" when they saw us. Location was great, short walk to food etc! Was warned of road noise, but didn't hear a thing, and we were right on the road! Shower pressure was amazing!
The motel was warm and well equipped. It has a lovely deck and outside furniture.

Older style motel from the outside. Nice that it had a small pool ( Better for summertime, but nice all the same) It had been done up nicely on the inside. Really spacious and had everything you need.
Nothing i felt violatied from the oweners of the motel feeling like i coulnt have my family visit
Riverlodge motel is situated just a few minutes walk from Nelson town centre. The room was sizable and on the first floor which meant some heavy lifting of luggage. There were a few cars in the car park already so we decided to leave the car on the road outside. We had a meal in the town so other than tea and breakfast didn’t make extensive use of the facilities which were more than adequate for a one night stay.
