The location is extremely central, especially if you're arriving by train. The hotel is just a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley station. It's also a quick and pleasant walk to the Royal Mile. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay again if I'm ever back in Edinburgh.
Castle Douglas
Located on the banks of Loch Auchenreoch, The Inn on the Loch offers bed and breakfast accommodation in this beautiful corner of South West Scotland. Free private parking is possible on site, and free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff efficient and friendly. The breakfast and evening meal good. The balcony was sunny and the view of the loch lovely. It was possible to have meals served on your balcony which is a great option.
Old Town, Edinburgh
Situated in the centre of Edinburgh, the Motel One Edinburgh-Royal is 5 minutes’ walk away from the train station, and only half a mile from the Castle. Guests can reach the historical St. Margaret’s Chapel, the Half Moon Battery and David's Tower within 10 minutes' walk. Edinburgh airport is only 9 miles away. Location, staff and overall stay was perfect. We asked to change rooms at the beginning to an upper floor for more privacy and staff accommodated this smoothly.

The property is in a great location by the harbour. The room was clean and confortable. Price was reasonable.
The location was good, there was free parking outside the hotel on the road. It was close to all the main attractions, there was a bus stop right outside the hotel, there was also a petrol station next to it and a massive outlet across the road with a good selection of shops.
The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Leith, and is very close to bus routes and the new tram to Edinburgh and the airport. There's safe free parking from the road at the rear. It is managed remotely but that works well. The system for door entry and collection of the key is outstanding. The shower and tap water were both hot at any time of day. The bathroom is bigger than many, you don't hit your elbows in the shower! It's a quiet area opposite a large park, but only a moderate walk to the shops.
Great little guest house two streets back from South street so perfectly located. Free parking is available on the road outside the guesthouse.
Great stay at the apartment. We needed a base close to the centre and this was great. Lovely apartment with all the amenities we needed. Close to the supermarkets and free parking right outside the apartment on the road. Would definitely stay again.
Lovat House was a very good and comfortable place to stay. The location was convenient for me, with free parking on the road, and a supermarket and an excellent pub restaurant nearby for extra needs.
Very friendly and helpful owners. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room with all that we needed for a one night transit stop. Good sound and light insulation so we slept well. Great breakfast included. Plenty of free parking. We parked on the roadside immediately outside our room. there was also a large free car park opposite.
All the staff were great, breakfast was a good range of foods, room was clean and bathrobes provided. Price was only a little more than a chain motel and well worth it for a unique venue. The boat has been very well furnished and it's in a lovely position. A good range of tea and coffee in the room. Would definitely come back here as it's only a short bus ride to Edinburgh. There's free parking right outside.
The location is amazing, right next to the river ness and free parking on the road outside the hotel if you arrive after 5pm and leave before 10am the next day. Hotel rooms were clean, spacious and well furnished. Really good first stop for us for our Highland trip.
