Lovely setting, the “lodge” is basically a two story motel complex with long flight of stairs. Lake view is really a glimpse. Old carpeting on porch and stairway.
Clean, modern bathroom. Average bed, cheap pillows. Nice size television with abundant channels, great WiFi.
Our room with two queen beds and sofa was quite spacious and clean. Although it may seem that it’s just another motel type building, it actually made a good impression as hotel looks fresh and modern. Contactless check-in check-out make the process very straightforward and no need for lock cards. They have keypad locks instead. And the lake is across the highway. Our room on the second floor had a good view.
I pretty much loved everything, actually can wait to plan another stay. A favorite that I’ve not seen at other hotels/motels….all the light switches were labeled except one which turned on the garbage disposal (we had a kitchenette)! It was very helpful!! Fun activities were scheduled daily if you chose to participate and even a handicap chair to enter the hot tub if you wanted it. My hubby is handicapped. I was impressed.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with the pool right outside our door. We had a microwave, so we were able to cook dinner in our room and eat it on the patio. The lake is right across to street. Also discovered that there are some nice walks in the forest behind the motel.
