Looking for a motel?
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

I liked that the motel was across the street from the beach.

I loved the location, and the setup. I prefer Motels over Hotels. The bed linens were clean. Room was clean. It had a full size fridge, and kitchenette. The pool was nice as well!

What did I like?? Absolutely nothing about the motel except its location. Opposite the beach where you can see a sunset. I am unable to write a full description of the hideousness of this establishment as there are not enough available characters in the "what didn't you like" section below - I hope I can upload the 23 photos showing what I found. Booking.com were able to negotiate a 50% refund (on $144.00 for one night room only original charge) but it was still not worth the $72 I had to pay.

The location was good -- unfortunately it was the only motel in the area.

I have stayed at The Tides many times. The new ownership has done a great deal to upgrade the motel. Room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff was also very accommodating.

It was an old 1950s motel, but I’m partial to those types of places, and appreciate them. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was very clean. There was also a full-size refrigerator in the room, I have never seen that before. It was nice. The rooms were extra wide which was nice.

This is a no frills motel directly across from the beach. Bars/restaurants in walking distance. Super friendly staff. Easy check in. Pool and BBQ on site. Small but renovated bathroom. Fridge and microwave in room. Lobby has a nice selection of snacks and beverages. Great value for the money.

This place is great and will be better in the future. clean, safe and retro. This motel has upgraded all of the plumbing and guest amenities (TV, refrigerator and microwave). Still working on the the flooring and decorating but giving the improvements thus far that place will only improve with current ownership. The pool was open and being renovated.
