Cadet Motel, hotel in Highland Falls

This Cornwall, New York hotel is 2 miles from Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. It features rooms with cable TV and free Wi-Fi and is 5 minutes' drive from the New York Military Academy.

Although old, the rooms had modern comfort and were very clean. We appreciated the homey feeling and the nice owners. The motel is situated on a state road, but it is relativy calm at night. The creek and bushes with the signing frogs at night helped us sleep.

The exterior condition of the property needs improvement. Finish construction and cleanup of parking lot. I had a more popular motel of the same town in mind. So this lodging was a second choice. I found it was a better value and roomier inside than the preferred motel.

no breakfast provided. location is awesome as it is next to the lake. service by the crew was fantastic. Do give this place some time to stay at and to explore the surroundings. We were just there for the night as we were shopping at woodbury but if i had more time i would have stayed! oh and 4th july and the week before there are awesome fireworks! so catch it ! Summer will be a great place! free parking!

This was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area. In situations such as this, I'm always a little leery of what I may find in terms of condition. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was decent (maybe had been updated recently?), had comfortable beds and smelled clean (sometimes older motels smell funky - mold, dirt, smoke - not this room). Pluses: 2 chairs, a desk, counter space, minifridge, microwave, hair dryer, window facing forest, quiet.
