Our room had a separate kitchenette area which was great for us as we had an extended stay

Typical basic Motel. But the rooms were large, clean, the bed comfortable, the shower hot. It was cool when we were there so can't comment about the air con.

An efficient option to spend a night in the area. If your looking for a room for the night to sleep and are indifferent about luxury than it's reasonable place to stay.
Situated within 18 km of California Institute of Technology and 22 km of LA Union Station, Starlight Inn South El Monte provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in South El Monte.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The Palm Tropics is where I stay when visiting Glendora, CA. Its a classic Route 66 motel, not fancy, but clean and convenient, and I've always found the staff friendly. Historic downtown is a reasonable walk away through nice neighborhoods -- the entirety of the town and the San Gabriel Valley is easily accessible by car. The Hat, with excellent sandwiches, is right next door.

A classic Route 66 motel that is small. Room could be kept dark at night and was relatively quiet. Good parking. Choices of restaurants within walking distance (we had sushi).
Comfortable and spacious, a nice older motel in a great spot. When we needed to get to the train at 6 AM, about a 30 minute walk, the owner volunteered to get up early and drive us. Try to get that at a Hampton! We'll be back for sure for next year's Rose Bowl.
The location was perfect for my event in downtown Glendora. A vintage Route 66 motel with bungalows in a garden setting. I had room in the back which was quiet. The room was also large with a nice size bathroom. The building exterior was in pretty good shape for the age and building size. Staff lives onsite and has a posted no visitor policy which kept in and out traffic low. I stayed 2 nights and slept well both nights. Car port parking next tor the room was nice too.
