I'm giving this hotel an overall rating of 10 not because it's a luxury hotel, but because it was a very good overall deal (price/quality/location) and all the staff was very friendly. They don't have an airport shuttle, but it's just 3 miles from the airport so an uber or taxi is doesn't cost much. Other hotels in the area with an airport shuttle were much more expensive.
I walked down to the waterfront (San Diego harbor) in about 20 minutes. Since I had time (and only a backpack for luggage) in the morning I also walked from the hotel to the airport to catch my flight. The second 2/3 of that walk is along a walking path that follows the waterfront.
Featuring a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, this San Diego motel offers a cable TV with HBO film channels in every room. San Diego International Airport is just 10 minutes' drive away.
San Diego International Airport is 10 minutes' drive from The Atwood Hotel San Diego - SeaWorld/Zoo, which offers an outdoor pool with cabanas and a 10-person hot tub.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Staff was wonderful. Very helpful, especially the owner. This is a family owned business trying to make it in today's business environment. It's by no means 5 star so don't expect as much. The location is adjacent to Interstate 8 so very convenient for easy on easy off. Right next to am AM-PM gas station. Would stay there again if needed a motel room in that vicinity of El Cajon.
Did not have time for the breakfast however, I'm the manager of a motel company in Phoenix Arizona and I was very impressed. Loved the man who checked me in and would hire him in a heartbeat! I will definitely be returning everytime I visit. I've been searching many locations in El cajon and YOU stand out. Thank you for your hospitality.
It probably depends on who else is staying in the motel, but because there was no one loud next to me, I had a very quiet stay. The bed was super comfortable. The hot tub was nice. Pretty clean overall.
For the Booking.com amount of $313 for TWO nights, this motel was GREAT! The "breakfast" wasn't much, and there was a deposit of $200 BEFORE we could check in, but for us, the location was great, the room was clean, (though wear and tear was present), the room had a microwave and fridge...and comfortable beds (pretty soft). We were right next to the freeway, but did not hear road noise!! :) We would stay there again.
The grassy area for families to sit and enjoy. The security. They hire many employees who maintain the facilities. It is a large motel,, but quiet. The room was in good condition and sparse, but in good shape. Good access to the freeway and restaurants. Shopping center across the freeway.
