Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
My family and I travel up here all the time and stay at the Hobson's Choice Motel. Staff are always very friendly, and accomodating. The rooms have everything you need. The best accomodation in Dargaville.
Great traditional kiwi motel, Alan was very friendly and helpful. The room was huge and the kitchenette had all the necessary utensils to cook a couple of meals. Good location within walking distance to Dargaville.
The motel was convenient to get to. While the motel is older it was very clean and roomy. Reminded me of motels from years ago we enjoyed the reminder.
The owner was so helpful and friendly to assist me in putting my flowers in the laundry to keep them from drying out in the boot of my car he even woke up early the next morning about 6.00 am to hellp me put them back in I was overwhelmed by his generosity that made my stay safe secure and enjoyable 😉 as I headed off in the direction to hikiwi marea for a unveiling I like to say a big thankyou again to the owner for his kind hospitality I will definitely refer family and friends to this motel Goodluck.
Nice Motel. Being an older design it meant our room (with spa bath) had more space than most modern motel rooms. Staff were friendly and when we checked out asked if everything had been to our satisfaction. It was also surprisingly quiet (although it was mid week). Also good price.
A fairly typical NZ motel room, similar to others as experienced by us on our (so far) near six week grand tour. Well equipped, but becoming slightly worn and dated. Not be best, but by no means the worst, and we would happily stay here again.
A nice welcome upon check in - we were shown to the room (only a few places go to the trouble).
