The staff: welcomed and orientated to the motel / hotel. Jug milk and homemade Anzac biscuit offered on arrival. When I mentioned the beautiful heritage hotel building which houses reception and the dining rooms, I was given a short tour and history of the building, before being shown the dining room and the way to get to my accommodation. I was also offered a room in the recently renovated upstairs part of the building instead of the room I booked. This would have been amazing but I prefer ground floor. The motel is behind the hotel. This building looks more mid-century but has been nicely maintained with individual car ports with probably screens at each door. Terrazzo step into the small it comfortable room with kitchenette and dining table. Ample power points, especially around bed. The bathrooms are fully renovated and beautiful. Attention to detail in everything. Welcome pack included instructions for air con, wifi, etc and included the menu for the dining room at the hotel. It also included the other dining and take-away options in town as well as a list of the local cafes for your morning coffee or breakfast. This was in the original heritage part of the hotel. Restored lovingly.

The hotel was great! Was disappointed the pool wasn't up an running yet although it is only the start of Spring. Still its pretty warm already. Rooms were huge and very clean. Very friendly staff.
Just 3 minutes’ walk from Tenterfield town centre, Peter Allen Motor Inn features free Wi-Fi and free satellite TV. The property includes BBQ facilities and an outdoor seating area.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Our room was located at the rear of the motel and had no road/traffic noise. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for an over-night stay. Parking was right outside our room and was easy to get in/out of. Tenterfield can be very cold in Winter, so the electric blankets on the beds were great.
Great location in the heart of Tenterfield, but in a quiet spot. Beautifully renovated old hotel, with motel accommodation at the rear, so easy to get a nice meal, beside a roaring fire.
The kitchenette was just what we needed - it was the reason we chose this motel. When we arrived the receptionist greeted us warmly, gave us clear directions, and had already turned the air con in our room on for us so it was warm when we went in.

A great Motel in centre of town. Hotel with restaurant and bar part of the property which was a real bonus. The rooms are modern and super clean, a typical country Motel with a very high standard. Good value for money, a simple continental breakfast provided, all we needed to get on the road again.
