Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Extremely run down!!! Some sort of smell in the room but the bathroom smell was worse! Cob web on the top half of the ceiling. Just extremely poor I was shocked. The aircon noise was OMG it was like those motels in the movies out somewhere where you take a dead body.
Large room with comfortable bedding and excellent vineyard views. Great shower head, plenty of hot water and large fluffy towels all appreciated after a day on the road. Excellent breakfast too.
The motel is set in lovely gardens, with the reception close to the rooms. The main building is very well set out with easy to find areas. We were upset our time to depart was upon us, but look forward to another visit within the near future, Comfortable, cosy, stressfree accomodation.
It's close to the Hunter Valley Gardens Village (approx. 7 min drive) and various of vineyards. Free parking on-site. Friendly staff. It's perfect for couple or family road trip.
I've been to the Hunter many a times but this was our first stay at Harrigan's. I must admit I am impressed, and why had I not been here before, it has everything you need! What a wonderful little "resort/motel/hotel/village" an all in one! Complete with a pool, vineyards as your backyard to explore, a pub, club and a bottle shop. The food and service is very good, loved the atmosphere. We stayed only one night but if I were to stay for a week Harrigan's is the place to be.
Great location with a few vineyards within walking distance. Large room with good facilities (fridge, kettle etc) large shower.
Saw wild Kangaroos nearby!
Sadly restaurant not open mid week. Good coffee shop onsite but only open in the mornings.
The grounds of Cypress Lakes is beautiful however the resort and facilities is now old and filthy.
The restaurants were dirty with leaves and old food everywhere.
The table and chairs are old and stained.
Children’s pool was filthy.
The Executive villa we stayed in was dated, dirty and not in any way a 4 star resort room.
It should be rated as a 2 star motel and not suitable for kids as the staircase to get up to the room is steep.
Overall-the room needs to be renovated-desperately.
Excellent Location for wineries and activities for kids. The facilities were great too (pool, bbq area, somewhere for kids to run). There was a petting zoo, lots of kangaroos and little nature walks for kids. Loved it. Our 3 families had joining cabins so we bbq’d together and enjoyed our cheese and wine. The location could not be better. Little shops to stock up on anything including good coffee.
Small motel rooms, but very clean and adequate for a weekend away. Rooms are basic but comfortable. We were only there to sleep, so it fitted the bill.
