A surprising oasis inside the streets of Marseille. Lovely garden. We enjoyed our breakfasts outside and drinks on the deck. A good walk up to the local cathedral.

Staff was great, restaurant excellent and our room was quiet and faced the park - not the freeway in front.
Everything as according to the description. Very comfortable, provencal styling and ambience. Very well equipped, lots of room for two, efficient AC, owner very kind, accessible and very helpful. Neighborhood rich in bakeries, groceries like Intermarche or Carrefour or smaller, gas station very near as well. Good bus access and to the A50 motorway to go to Cassis or further.
For me, it is the best option in Marseille. The place has a very cozy vibe, the facilities are excellent, very well thought out for every type of traveler and the common areas are perfect for sharing and meeting new people. In the evenings there are events according to the program of the week and all the staff of the hostel is totally friendly and very professional. It is a place I will surely come back and recommend 100%.
Everything from location to value for money to staff knowledge and helpfulness. Little wonder Mercure has such a well-deserved reputation. We'd happily stay here again, and would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone heading to Marseille.
The apartment was well located close to the old city and in a peaceful area. I found the apartment really clean and well equipped according to the description's on Booking. The bed was as i wished to be

Price inflated 300%+ because of the Rugby World Cup.
Every person at the hotel that night was there because of the rugby. So what did the hotel do? they closed the bar at 11-30 before most people got back from the game.
We asked to see a manager but it turned out the child at reception was the most senior person on site with no decision making capability or authority. Goodness knows what would happen in the event the of a real incident!
