SIMPLY AMAZING!! Family run luxury resort with unbelievable views of Sigiriya and Pidurangala. We got upgraded to the Bird’s Nest? a unique luxury tree house with direct view of the Sigiriya Rock. the location is fantastic, a short 10min drive to the main attractions. The couple who own and run the property are fantastic, super hands on and help make your trip become perfect, and beyond! the food is great, fairly priced, and all staff is super friendly - feels like all are part of the King’s family!

The view is outstanding. The hotel reception is perched on top of stairs with breathtaking view of the rock. The swimming pool also has an amazing view. Loved the vibe of the hotel, the room was very nice (nicer than i expected from the pictures!). The staff was very nice. We had buffet dinner and buffet breakfast and were very satisfied. The location is good, close enough to the rock to do it at sunrise then come back to the hotel to enjoy a nice breakfast.

We had the honour of being the first foreign guests here. Its a beautiful location and design with even better staff. The apartments are all brand new and high end. The staff were all amazingly professional from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with frozen towels and fresh fruit juice which was a very nice touch as it was very hot. The room was immaculate and came stocked with a complementary fridge and snacks drawer with tea/coffee making facilities (we were also visited twice to ask if we would like the items restocking too!). We also had slippers and dressing gowns to be used during our stay which again were high quality and brand new. The room was very private and had ice cool air conditioning with a back patio/balcony area which was great as you look out into the nestling woodland filled with birds. We ate at the restaurant on site which again was all brand new and beautifully decorated. The menu was brilliant and had a great range of choices, both meals we had were really delicious and the service throughout was 10/10. We even had a visit from the head chef to check everything was ok and if we needed anything else. We also had breakfast which was a choice of 3 styles of breakfast, each was customisable to your liking which was a very nice touch. Again the food and service was 10/10. There is a complementary swimming pool and steam room on site and also a range of activities to do too such as archery, bike riding and air rifle target shooting! The hotel is located approximately 15 minutes from the famous Sigiriya rock. We will 100% be staying here again if we visit Sigiriya again.

Amazing experience. We just spent a week with my wife and 2 young children. The setup feels very exclusive and private, villas are distanced from each other, and show a clear attention to details, inside out. And the staff was very attentionate, super friendly with the kids. Food was excellent. Well located between the different local points of interests.

As for the views, they were simply breathtaking and unparalleled. Whether I was in my room or exploring the property, I couldn't help but be in awe of the incredible vistas. And let's not forget about the breakfast – it was truly mouthwatering! The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and it was the perfect way to start the day.

Finally it’s iconic place designed by Jeffrey Bawa - well known Sri Lankan architect in late 1960s. So it’s not an hotel but real attraction point with feel of the history. You may see monkeys on your balcony who can stole any eat from it - giving a lot of fun and nice pictures. The amenities are also beautiful and nice. Staff trying to give you the best experience.
