This is a really special place. The chalets are gorgeous, comfortable and chic with the most incredible views. As a family of four with two children age 10 and 7 it was really refreshing how welcome they were made to feel. Often gyms don’t allow kids in but our two were welcomed in and loved our family workouts and the gym is well equipped with really interesting equipment. Air hockey by the pool was another highlight, as was the sauna and plunge pool which they both got stuck into! And because there aren’t many residences it was never crowded.
The staff were so friendly and again, amazing with the kids. Our server Ranil made sure we were looked after once highest standard, and made some great recommendations of things for us to do in and around Ella. He even packed little snack packs for the kids to take on our day trips.

From the moment we arrived we were treated by all the staff incredibly well. We loved everything about the property from the old colonial high ceilings to the beautiful gardens and infinity pool. The little walks around the property overlooking the tea plantation were stunning with little nooks for reading. So private and peaceful. Beautiful and super relaxing.

What a stunning spot! I’m the quiet and peaceful spot in Ella, away from the busy touristy place yet only 10 minutes tuk tuk to the centre! Beautiful peaceful views, you can see and hear the waterfalls and watch the birds! Heaven for photographers! The family who owns the place are so kind and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend this place!

It was a very nice stay. the beds were big and the most comfortable I had this far in Sri Lanka, the bathroom was attached to my dorm. They had an astonishing view at Ella Rock out of the dormsand from their rooftop-terrace, where they served me a nice breakfast with lots of fruits and toast with fried egg.
The attached Cafe had a billard-table and a western-style kitchen, I liked the pizza there.
They opened just some months ago, everything was new and clean. The staff was friendly and some 8-year old boys living next to the hostel teached me how to play cricket 🙂

Great view and great staff. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The accommodation is a 10 minute walk into town. The managers, Chanthu and Vada are very hospitable and have detailed knowledge of the area. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. We also did a cooking class, which was amazing. Chanthu is a former 5 star Chef and Vada, a very skilled cook. Would highly recommend a stay at Ella Hillsite View.

Wow is the only word for me. We had a great time. Our Luxury tent was superbly situated face to beautiful mountain range and we experienced spectacular sunrise. Food was so delicious and our tent was also clean. The bathroom was something special and so clean. The owners are so kind and helpful. They look after us well and they guide us to the beautiful nature waterfall nearby. It was one of the main highlights of our journey . This is the best place we stayed during our holiday.

Great hotel with excellent view for the Ella Rock from the private balcony. The owner was so nice and helpful, I’ve never received such a great service before, even in 5 stars hotels. Room was clean and in a good condition. The breakfast included in our accommodation was also very tasty and made by chef on our eyes. I will recommend this Guesthouse for everyone who is expecting excellent service, perfect view with a good price.
