The best breakfast I've had since staying in a beach hotel on Zanzibar 20 years ago. Lovely room, recently refurbished, above an excellent reastaurant. I was welcomed warmly and the hosts were friendly and helpful through my stay. The breakfast was absolutely top notch. Top quality ingredients and home made black pudding.

Historic building. Boutique style decor with a really atmospheric Italianate style in the restaurant. Italian menu superb and mine host equally so with his knowledge of Italian motorcycle racing.

The Link has a good reputation locally for being a 3-star plus hotel. Very similar to, for example, a Premier Inn but in our view a bit better value. We took advantage of the inclusive breakfast which was excellent. Room and bed spacious and comfortable. Don’t expect 5-star luxury but if you book wanting a good value for money 3-star hotel, then this will be difficult to beat. Very accessible to the M1 and good access to town and University. All in all, highly recommended.

Outstanding boutique hotel and restaurant. Efficient, friendly staff, great chefs with varied menu, superb bedrooms with large, comfortable beds, good bathroom with power shower. Everywhere clean and hygienic with obvious attention to detail. Brilliant, welcoming place to stay. Good breakfast, even open to non-residents. Happy to report that standards continue to be maintained despite the pandemic. Good value for a quality stay or visit.

Slight confusion when we arrived but the staff were really friendly and attentive. The room was immaculate, the dinner was superb and the service by Kieran was outstanding. The bed was really comfortable, the shower great and the breakfast and service in the morning was excellent. I would definately recommend and return if we needed accommodation in that area again.

The proprietors were very welcoming and made us feel at come. The decor of the house was outstanding. Full of character and interest. The bed and bedding were of super quality. Hot drink making facilities plus water in the room. Plenty of storage and seating in the room. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Choice of breakfasts including cereal, yogurt, fruit, cooked breakfast, hot drinks and juices.
