Impeccably clean and well kept. Great facilities. Loved the access to the private garden and balcony. Heating system was great. Lovely bathtub for soaks. Loved it! Ellie was brilliant in responding to text queries if we had any problems. Lovely little village as well. Was perfect for a cosy family retreat before the end of the year.

We stayed in Room 1 which was on the ground floor, the room was lovely, comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was of excellent standard. Breakfast was delicious, especially the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The full cooked was very good , again delicious sausage, bacon and black pudding. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Windermere and Bowness.

the room was fantastic and even included a jacuzzi bath which I hadn't expected. the breakfast was really very good, from the food choices to the service provided by the staff. the room lights wouldn't not work one morning as it had tripped, the maintenance team sorted it very quickly. took advantage of an add on treatment at the spa which was lovely as well.

Inoka has put her heart into this property. It is immaculately clean, unique and very comfortable. The breakfast is very unique and tasty. She is a very friendly and very concerned about her guests and very genuine host. 5 stars to her
Just home from a short break & could not fault Yvonne’s hospitality. Yvonne was really attentive & welcoming. 5 stars for the delicious shortbread also. Thank you
The staff were excellent throughout the hotel, exceptional service in the restaurants. Very clean and warm, with a superb comfy bed. Food was of a very high standard in the restaurant, breakfast great with lots of choice and plenty of it.
We liked how clean, comfortable and the secluded location was. Beautiful surroundings , warm and cosy as described, beds , linen and bathroom shower was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had all the things we needed to self cater, including the air fryer. We would recommend this to all friends and relatives, we are hoping to rent this property again in the near future. Not far to drive to the lakes and shopping retail park. recommended with 5 stars.
If you want to be in central Kendal with a parking space then this is the place. Absolutely 5 stars for this location, tucked away beside Booths (a favourite place to shop) and with a level walk to the main street with all its pubs, restaurants and shops. There are plenty of rural walks from the town (although it is all uphill to start with...) with some fabulous views of this area at the edge of the Lakes. The railway station is also a level walk of about ten minutes.
Suite was nice - clean, comfy bed, nice bathroom. Limited offering, particularly for a suite in terms of refreshments, water, snacks etc. Most luxury hotels would provide complimentary fizz, particularly at the price point paid. Similarly, very limited offering in terms of toiletries which I recall was a strong sell on the suite description - we got a miniature bottle of shower gel for 2 nights for 2 people. Beautiful bath in the room - no bubble bath or bath salts. Felt like a poor offering for a luxury suite at the price point.
A beautiful light room. The breakfast was top class, and nothing was too much trouble. My tea was obviously top quality and my poached eggs cooked to perfection. Room was immaculately clean and a huge shower, there were lots of free toiletries. Bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up and the linen top quality. TV was great with lots of extra channels to watch... Oh and fresh bottled sparkling and still water available every day.
everything- very luxurious, even down to beautiful floorboards. pictures don’t do it justice. superb views. secluded in the best way. wood burner is the icing on the cake
