Our stay was absolutely fabulous! The property is gorgeous and Katie is so welcoming. Would 100p recommend! We checked in after a day at soho farmhouse and were blown away by the gorgeous property, clean accommodation and gracious hosts! We were able to walk around the beautiful grounds, enjoy a nice gin a tonic (so graciously left by Katie in the fridge :) ) and relax taking in the sunset. Such a peaceful getaway. Katie left us awesome local recs for the next morning as well- we went to Restoration Hardware and hopped back on the train to London from there. Such a nice night and am already ready to go back!

Astwell Mill Luxury Shepherds Hut, hotel in Banbury

Featuring garden views, Astwell Mill Luxury Shepherds Hut provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 33 km from Milton Keynes Bowl.

We had a slight problem with our satnav which sent us up an uneven dirt track, however Cassie was on the other end of the phone to direct us with directions which was great, Mark met us at the hut and could not apologise enough for the satnav directions, he was very very welcoming and charming explained everything to us. That evening we contacted Cassie to enquire if the hut was available for an extra night as we loved it so much, unfortunately the hut was already booked the following night however Cassie did offer us a beautiful double room with ensuite in the house for the extra night which we were over the moon with and accepted. The setting was amazing, the views of the countryside just went on and on, and they told us we can walk anywhere on their land even among their sheep in the fields, We had beautiful weather which was a bonus and such a relaxing and happy stay. It did not end there Breakfast was absolutely yummy, a proper Fresh Farmers full English breakfast all locally sourced with free range eggs, with fresh continental as well, we would highly recommend these great hosts and B&B wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Cassie and Mark for everything.

We arrived about 10:30pm to find reception & bar all closed, but the night manager came out & greeted us and offered drinks once we'd checked in. The rooms were warm, spacious & comfortable. The bathroom was clean if a little dated. Breakfast was outstanding! We'd arranged a take out breakfast as we had to leave early, but the chef kindly offered to make us something hot very quickly. so we had delicious eggs benedict & good coffee.

The setting in 200 acres of farmland was outstanding. The welcome we had was fantastic and our host had even gone to the trouble of booking us a table for the evening. We had a fantastic walk around the grounds both evening and the following morning before breakfast..............and WOW what a breakfast. Excellent choice of cereals, yoghurts, home made bread for toast and an excellent cooked (to order) hot breakfast. The ingredients were top quality and our host was fantastic. Would highly recommend this venue!
