The vintage decor was charming and the location is absolutely perfect! The price and location alone are unbeatable, especially considering most of the cheaper accommodations in Shinjuku are stuffy business hotels or seedy love hotels. Staff is kind. We also appreciated the early check-in time.
This was a "love hotel" in a neighborhood entirely filled with similar hotels. If you are going to Japan to pick someone up for a couple of hours, or you are a local looking for a place other than your home to hook up, this is your spot. Since this wasn't what we were looking for, we were grateful to find another room for our remaining two nights and the kind desk staff issued us a refund.
Close to train stations, easy check in and clean rooms. We actually didn’t know this was a love hotel haha but we enjoyed our stay anyway and it was just like any other hotel… was quiet and in a good location
Close proximity to one of the Central West Exits of the station. Staff were helpful and cooperative. Be warned that this is a love hotel. So if you’re just looking for a hotel for a place to sleep then this is perfect. But if you’re looking for anything else, for example, to spend time in your room to have a quiet evening, then this is not the place for you.
Good location, although around the corner from Love Hotels. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were friendly. Capsule was relatively spacious.
A very old-fashion hotel in Ueno area. However, you can feel the old style hotel and it recalls my travel memory in the past. It offers free coffee and tea in the lobby area. Room size is larger than expected where I can fully open my 25-inch suitcase. A 7-11 convenience store is just 2 minutes away. Big Tips: Using Okachimachi Station instead of Ueno Station is much better and easier if you are carrying large suitcases.
Love hotel but big enough and amazing location
Great location. Was a bit sceptical with being a love hotel, but it was very discreet and very secure. Lovely polite staff, couldn't do enough to help us. Big room and bathroom with huge spa bath and dark, so you can sleep in. The D Wave would be one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in.
Very inclusive booking. clean, including free alcohol and snacks, amenities in reception. I was not aware this is a LOVE HOTEL when I booked, and nearly cancelled after realising, but had already paid. I wish it had been more clearly advertised. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.
