The apartment itself was lovely and cosy and our warm-hearted host Eddie kept enquiring whether we needed anything. A plus were the lovely view and Eddie’s sheep and his two cute dogs. Absolutely recommended!

We cannot fault, thus accommodation, we were up fir a funeral, do it wasn't a pleasure trip, but the staff where so friendly, and accommodating, the meal in the restaurant was beautiful wr cannot speak more highly about this hotel
The pictures don’t do this place justice. We stayed in the Golden Eagle lodge and couldn’t believe the size of the apartment and garden/hot tub area. The kitchen and its facilities are super and you could easily spend a week here - we wish we stayed longer. The location is beautiful, with the Oak Tree Inn accross the road for food (best GF pizza I’ve ever had) and Conic Hill right beside you. We drove a short 20 minutes to Balloch to do paddle boarding on the loch too which was awesome.
Nothing I arrived at the hotel within there stated check in time and the hotel was locked up for the night, staff were not contactable, I had to sleep in my car after a 4 hour drive.
On the website it looks at first like a historic mansion which was converted to a hotel. Actually, it is a very modern HUGE meandering international-style hotel complex cum leisure park (water park, off-site wellness spa ...). In the beautiful large park along Loch Lomond you can walk forever (in there are also 50+ lodges or so located in the park). The staff is very accommodating in a professional way. We had a nice dinner at the boat house, but did not take advantage of the other offers as we staid only one night.
Great location for Loch Lomond and exploring Balloch. Room had everything we needed. Rooms are in a two floor block separate to pub. There didn't appear to be a lift. It's Travelodge type accommodation. Great to have a bath in the bathroom although might be tricky for someone less agile to use shower over bath. Breakfast was excellent.
Great location, which I chose because I don't have a car and it is close to the train station. Facilities were clean and I paid for the bedding pack which meant I didn't need to carry sleeping bags and towels on the train. The accommodation was ready early which meant we were able to check in at lunchtime on arrival and make the most of the afternoon.
I booked this expensive room six months in advance the receptionist told us we were " above the bar, keep your windows closed because of the midges (there was a heat wave) and don't adjust the shower. The shower was cold. The room walls were very thin you could hear everything! we didn't fall asleep until very late. Overall the experience was not good the worst accommodation on the WHW.
The hotel has great staff, particularly the ladies on reception, who checked you in, fielded any problems and served drinks from the bar too. The room was small but for the price it was acceptable, we only needed to sleep in it for 2 nights on our way home from Skye. The shower and towels were fabulous, after a long day driving a great shower is necessary. The TV was small but we plugged our Firestick into it and it was fine. The Wifi coverage was generally good. Bedding was comfortable. Room was spotlessly clean.
Fantastic stay in a brilliant location , short walk to restaurant, cafe and Loch. Owner was friendly and helpful and had thought of everything with accommodation. Kitchen facilities were outstanding and a very comfortable night's sleep.
