The place was awesome, beautifully located alongside a river and in between beautiful sandy hills, a serene spot. The rooms were impeccable clean and the staff was very friendly and we loved that they put so much emphasis on interior design and bathroom details.

The staff were awesome. Chris made our day being a Newcastle fan! He’s a legend. Great food in the restaurant and breakfast was great. Lodges offer a great stop off for entrance to Seqouia NP. Beautiful location.
WOW! This property is SUPER easy to find and is truly just 2 minutes from the entrance to the park. It was lovely! It looks just like the pictures - like something in a magazine! We were only there 1 night but we all agreed it would be perfect for a longer stay - cute places to eat outside and so comfortable! The washer/dryer was also handy and worked well. We dined at the Lodge (which was yummy) but we were VERY happy to be staying at Soleil Luna instead.
This place is amidst the Sequoia forests and is a very quiet place. Perfect place to cut off from rest of the world, and be close to nature. The Quiet Mind Lodge offers comfort and quality that is top class considering its location and associated complexity. The hospitality of the team was amazing. The food was very good too.
We stayed in the Deluxe room, with the river and mountain view. The location was great. Also the playground in front of the lodge was nice, good for kids to play before and after hiking the national parks. The lady at the lobby was friendly and super helpful.
The surroundings are spectacular, the sound of the stream nearby, the nature. The lodge itself is really cozy. And the support we've received from the staff was amazing: the help with the check-in, yes; but also we accidentally left some of our stuff in the lodge and they shipped it to us by international mail very quickly. Shame we only spent one night there.
We arrived very late (10 pm) and only had to ring the doorbell once to check in. The room was clean and it was apparent that updates were taking place as afforded. A simple breakfast was available each day. The convenient location offered views of the surrounding mountains. The lodge was very close to restaurants, gas stations, stores, and the entrance to the park. We could hear owls cooing at night and awoke each day to a rooster's crow.
Beautiful little lodge right by the riverfront, very atmospheric, close to shops and restaurants.
The location is amazing. The views from the lodges and the pool were spectacular. The lodges themselves were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful and accommodated our late arrival easily. I would definitely recommend Whispering Pines Lodge for a quiet escape at the edge of the Sierras
It has an amazing location - the views and gentle roar of the river Kern was just superb. There are several bars, restaurants and a well stocked supermarket less than 5 min walk away. The lodges are large, traditional and clean. Receptionist was very friendly and informative.
Very pleasantly surprised by the food and drink which are included in nightly cost! Great shrimp scampi, meat & vegetarian lasagna, roasted vegetables for dinner. Excellent fresh berry mix, scrambled egg fritatta with ham, hash browns, hot and cold cereals. John the manager is incredibly hospitable and helpful: he's worked at various National Park lodges for decades. Met a couple from OC who had returned for their 3rd stay. Nuff said.
