The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The cabin was lovely and not to mention huge, we loved every corner of it. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

We liked having a full kitchen as we have a baby and needed a place to wash bottles and other accessories. Staff was also super helpful with giving us directions for how to arrive and were very accommodating with our late night check in.

I liked nothing about the property. It was so depressing that I abandoned it at the start, and went to another facility. The Lodge wasn't even in Taos!
We liked the location of the place as it gave us a panoramic view of the mountains. The lodge has a warmth that accentuates the whole place and its staff.
The breakfast offered a wide variety of items that would appeal to most tastes, including various types of breads, muffins, and pancakes; fresh fruit, yoghurt, hot items including sausage patties, omelete, biscuits and gravy; juice, coffee, tea, and other hot beverages. The variety of offerings surprised us for an Econo Lodge.
A charming little motor lodge with friendly and accommodating staff,large, clean rooms, DELICIOUS hot breakfast with a New Mexico flair! Pet friendly accommodation, 2 patios, great hot tub, convenient location to everything. We will definitely stay there again!

I’m very hesitant to ever stay at old motor lodges but this was the highest rated lodging in Ruidoso even above the newer chain hotels. I’m glad I gave it a chance. The rooms were decorated with Southwestern blankets and pillows and my room even had a cozy fireplace. And the price was still lower than the chain hotels. When I make it back to Ruidoso, I’ll definitely stay here again.
Didn't have time to think about breakfast; don't know if it was offered. Other reviews stated it was better than expected & that's exactly what we got, better than expected. Sorry but Econo Lodges have a bad rep. We were very pleasantly surprised, and pleased. That manager could smile sometimes though.
It's a lovely property. Well kept and quiet. The long porch with chairs outside each unit is nice. U can visit with ur neighbors, or just enjoy the peace and quiet. It's one of the first lodges on the Upper Canyon Road, so it's easy to come and go. Bed and pillows were super comfy. It's like having ur own apartment in Ruidoso.
The location was excellent and knowing the history of the building being one of the original lodges on the mountain was an added bonus. Parking was also very easy and presented no problems throughout our stay.
