The Emerald Gecko is as things should be and only at such places you can catch a glimpse of the real beauty of the islands - listen to the birds singing in the morning, feel the sand under your feet when you go outside and climb a wooden ladder to sleep in a place under a mosquito net - enjoy all that in a laid-back atmosphere.

Incredible location, beautiful hut, everything is basic but also clean, well-designed, in good working order and beautifully in keeping with the surroundings. The staff were fantastic, and Bhaskar was so helpful. Also it was a real pleasure to eat in the recently opened Black Beard’s Bistro restaurant! Excellent food and one of the best beach-side locations on the island!
